What is Port City Escape?
Port City Escape is a real-life room escape game. After entering a room with your team of up to 10 people, the door is closed behind you. 60 minutes are on the clock! You must work together in order to find clues and use elements of the room to solve a series of puzzles and escape the room. It is part scavenger hunt and part puzzle game.
What are your hours of operation?
Our summer hours are Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 2:00 p.m.- 10:00 p.m; Fridays and Saturdays 11:30 a.m.- 10:00 p.m. and Sundays 11:00 a.m.- 5:00 p.m.
The staff at Port City Escape realizes you might want to have fun outside of our regular business hours. We will do our best to accommodate your group outside of our regular hours whenever possible.
Who created the puzzles? Have we seen them before?
At Port City Escape all of the puzzles and concepts were created in-house. Kris and Dr. Doug Testori, Co-owners of Port City Escape, chose the room themes and then built the story and all of the puzzles around those themes. We do our best to make all of the details and puzzles in the rooms historically accurate and relevant to the rooms’ themes.
How many people can play, and what is the age limit?
Up to ten people can play as a team. The minimum for all games is 2 players. We recommend our rooms for ages ten and up. We ask that an adult stay on premises for groups comprised of players 14 and younger, or they can stay and play. This is a great family activity.
Do I need any special prior puzzle solving experience?
Nope. Just be willing to search for hidden clues and related items…and to use your brain! If you are really struggling, you may reach out to the Game Master to offer you a clue and get you moving in the right direction.
Are your rooms wheelchair accessible?
Yes! Our entire facility is wheelchair accessible.
Can I do a corporate team building event?
Absolutely! We can arrange customized events for any size group! Give us a call at 910-251-7005 to set up your team building event.
Do you offer any discounts?
Yes, we offer a 20% Military and first responders discount with valid identification. Please use coupon code first_respond when booking.
We periodically run other specials so check out our news and promotions page.
Do I need a reservation to enjoy the Escape Room experience?
Yes, a reservation is necessary, but thankfully you can book online easily! Just click of any of the ‘Book Now’ buttons on this website.
What if I am only in town for a few days and really, really want to visit?
To add a reservation outside of our normal business hours (see hours in the footer below), please call us. We will do whatever we can to make it work.
If I only have 2 or 3 people in my group, will we be placed with strangers to fill the time slot?
If you reserve less than the full amount of spaces for the room (10) there is a chance you will be placed with other people in a session. But honestly, it is such a festive atmosphere, the more the merrier!
How long does each event last?
You are in the room for exactly 60 minutes. Please plan to arrive 15 minutes before your start time. This is important!!! When you arrive you will receive a quick briefing on the game. Then the fun begins! You will be locked in the room and will have 60 minutes to get out. There is a themed sitting area for each escape room where you can debrief and take photos with our cool props.
What should I wear?
Your adventure will require some light physically activity, such as bending, stretching, and stooping, so wear something comfortable.
Do you accept Donation Requests?
