Cruise and Clues
Join us for an EPIC escape room and cruise experience
APRIL 20-24, 2020
Join Port City Escape and Totally Travel as we embark on an unforgettable escape room extravaganza. In addition to all of the exciting attractions, the recently renovated Mariner of the Seas has to offer, VIP guests will have private, reserved sessions in two escape rooms. Guests will also have access to exclusive, hands-on workshops and the opportunity to play a portable escape room designed especially for this cruise.
Exclusive Private Hands-On Workshops
Husband and wife duo, Doug and Kris Testori, are the owners of Port City Escape in Wilmington, NC. Doug began creating escape room puzzles in his garage in 2015 and has created five successful escape rooms with engaging themes that have been a hit with more than 10,000 people. All of the escape rooms at Port City Escape are developed in-house and are one of a kind designs.
Doug is bringing his immersive room design and prop building experiences to you aboard the Mariner of the Seas. In this workshop, available only to those who book through Cruise and Clues, the pair will guide you in puzzle creation and placement and will help you design your very own puzzle which you can take home with you!
Portable Escape Adventure: The Message
The Testori’s will be bringing along their most recent escape adventure called “The Message.” In this portable experience players will uncover an archeological find that is not what it seems, and, as it turns out, the message isn’t what it seems either!
The Observatorium (onboard the ship)
The first escape excursion will be onboard where you will have a prepaid, pre-booked escape room adventure. There are some puzzles you solve and some you escape. Guests booking Cruise and Clues will need to work together to uncover hidden clues, solve mind-bending teasers, and work out bewildering puzzles. Your mission on the Observatorium is to help the time-traveling professor who is lost in space. As a team, you will race to find clues that will allow you to recalibrate a telescope and neutralize an impending asteroid strike.
Blackbeard’s Escape in Nassau
Cruise and Clues guests will have a private excursion to Blackbeard’s Escape in Nassau. The backstory to Blackbeard’s Escape really ties into the history of the Bahamas and the surrounding Pirates of Nassau Museum. The backstory: The year is 1718 and Woodes Rogers is rounding up pirates. You are summoned to meet Blackbeard in his hideout and have just one hour to escape before the British soldiers find you!
